Frequently Asked Questions
  • Will I turn orange? No
After trial and error with many different solutions we chose a fantastic formula by Norvell which is perfectly blended to eliminate the worry of looking like a pumpkin!

  • Do I have to be naked? No (unless you want to be!)
Ladies: As long as you're comfortable we're comfortable
Gents: G-String required please, provided upon request.

  • Will my hair color change? No.
We take extra care to avoid your hair, but for extra caution hair nets are available.

  • Will it leave a mess in my house? No
We bring a portable tent to tan you in and we will also ensure solution has dried before you step out to avoid immediate transfer of solution. The tent is then closed and we are out of your way. Apart from your new glow, there will be no trace of us!

  • Can I still workout? Yes.
Excessive sweat, chlorine, oils and exfoliating will reduce the life of your tan. So whilst your tan certainly will not physically stop you from doing anything just be prepared to have a shorter tan life following the items mentioned above.

  • How soon can I shower?
It is advised to wait at least 8 hours* before showering, this gives the tan enough time to develop. Note that keeping the solution on beyond 8 hours will not make you any darker. Solution is designed to develop to optimum color and nothing will happen beyond that. * Rapid tan can be showered off after 1-3 hours (at an additional cost).

  • Will it stain my clothes / furniture / bedding?
Whilst the tan is developing we advise to wear loose dark clothing following your spray tan. Tight clothing can rub the solution off before it has been able to fully develop which could lead to an uneven tan. If left to develop overnight color may transfer to your bed sheets. Light colored fabrics may be temporarily stained with the solution but will easily removed in the wash.

  • How long will it last? Approximately 7 days
Just like with a real sun tan, the length of your spray tan depends on how you choose to maintain the tan. Follow our Preparation and Maintenance guide to prolong the life of your tan.

  • How long does the appointment take? Please allow 30mins
This includes set up, preparation, tanning and clearing up as well as time to answer any questions you may have.

  • I am pregnant can I still get a spray tan?
Our solution is safe for expecting mothers, but we recommend seeking your doctor’s advice particularly in the first trimester of pregnancy. We will happily share ingredients with you if you would like to run them by your doctor. (add link to ingredients here)

  • Can I still sun tan? Yes
PLEASE ensure that you still wear SPF, our solution does not protect from harmful UV rays.

  • What if I am already tanned / brown skinned? No harm in being more tanned right!?
Whether you are naturally tanned or already slightly suntanned it is absolutely possible to gain more color; let’s be honest everyone looks better with a glow!

Easy!! We are  fully trained, qualified and insured mobile spray tanning business covering London.  Gone are the days that you have to worry about parking spaces, travelling on a bus or even walking down the street with no make-up on after a spray tan.  We take all that worry away by applying your spray tan in the comfort of your own home of office, where ever is suitable for you.  I have my own portable spray tanning cubicle that will pop up in your desired location.

We use the very latest equipment -  HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure) spray tanning system which improves the quality of the spray tan and dramatically decreases the tanning time.

Upon our arrival you will have an initial consultation to establish your tanning requirements and spray choice.  Your therapist will then spray a fine and even mist of sunspray as you stand in the cubicle.  This can  take up to 10 minutes and drying time can be another 10 minutes, depending on the room temperature.

The active ingredient in our sunspray, Dihydroxyacetone or (DHA) for short, causes a chemical reaction with the amino acids on the outer most layer of the skin.  This reaction causes the colour of the skin to change, producing a beautifully natural tan.  DHA starts to react with the skin within 2 hours of the tan application and continues to do so for a total of 12 hours, after which time you can wash.

Depending on a person's activities and skin type, the tan realistically lasts between 7 - 10 days and will fade gradually, like a natural tan.  With follow up applications, a person can maintain the tan indefinately.

For the maximum result, it is advised to exfoliate the night before your appointment (not on the day of application).  This will remove dead skin cells, helping to promote even coverage and lengthens the duration of your tan.  It is best to shave/wax at least 8 hours before your appointment. Make sure your skin is free of make-up, moisturisers, perfumes, oils, deodorants and gels as these act as barriers to the spray and stops the process from being fully completed, reducing the quality of the application.

Whatever you are comportable with, I supply disposable g-strings to minimise tan lines.  Otherwise an old dark bikini.  What is important is your comfort level.  Attire for men is boxers, swim trunks or shorts.  Dark loose fitting clothing should be worn after a spray tan in order to avoid you tan becoming patchy.  Naturasun washes out of most clothing very easily but tends to stain nylon and lycra materials, therefore dark coloured underwear is recommended.  Also, remove all jewellery (and don't put it back on until a few hours after your tan)!

Wait at least 10 - 12 hours before washing the tan off; you need to allow enough time for the reaction to take place.  Showering sooner may diminish the intensity of the tan.

The colour produced by a tan does not wash off; it simply fades as the upper layers of the epidermis wear away.  You can try to speed the exfoliation process by gently scrubbing the skin with a washcloth or loofah sponge.  DO NOT OVER SCRUB!  It may take a week or more for the “tanned” skin to disappear. Otherwise go for a swim at your local pool as chlorine is a great exfoliant!

YES!  According to the American Academy of Dermatology, the most effective products available are sunless or self-tanning products that contain dihydroxyacetone (DHA) as the active ingredient. It is declared safe and suitable for use in cosmetics and drugs used to colour the skin.  DHA is a commonly used cosmetic.  DHA is not absorbed into the blood stream and poses no possibility of toxicity.

While no one should purposely inhale or ingest the tan mist, it is known that DHA is a non-hazardous compound and causes no adverse reaction in moderate quantities when applied topically or even ingested. Testing has further shown that DHA is less toxic than aspirin, caffeine and even common table salt.

Airbrush tanning is an alternative form of tanning.  People with sensitive skin or people who have a hard time tanning, be it natural or in tanning beds will find this form of tanning very comforting.  One application with airbrush tanning will be equivalent to approximately 6 tanning bed sessions, there for making it cost effective.  Airbrush tanning also spares the skin of excessive wear and tear and free from potential burns caused by the sun or tanning beds. Sun beds and excess sun exposure causes early aging of the skin your skin will have a leather feel which no amount of moisturising cream can correct.
